Billing overview

MatStream uses a subscription model based on the number of editor seats you purchase, plus a monthly hosting fee. Viewers are always free and unlimited on all paid plans.

Viewers can be added to any workspace on any plan at no extra cost.

How billing works

Your monthly bill has two parts:

  • Editor seats — the number of editor licences you have purchased, billed at a fixed rate per seat per month
  • Hosting — a flat monthly fee depending on whether your workspace runs on a shared or dedicated server

Example (Team plan, 3 editor seats)

3 editor seats × €19.95 = €59.85 Shared hosting = €9.95 Subtotal = €69.80 VAT (21% NL) = €14.66 Total = €84.46

Billing cycle

Billing runs monthly on the same day each month — your billing anchor day. This is set to the day of your first payment and never changes.

Seven days before your billing date, MatStream sends you an invoice by email so you know what is coming. On the billing date itself, the amount is charged automatically to your payment method — no action is needed.

VAT

MatStream is a Dutch company. VAT is applied as follows:

Outside EU N/A 0%

Your VAT number is stored on your organisation profile. See Organisation settings for how to add or update it.
